Box Tops Store - This Wednesday!!

The Box Tops Store will be open this Wednesday during lunch.  Please have your child bring their neatly trimmed Box Tops in a baggie labeled with their name and the number of box tops.  Even one Box Top can buy something special!

On Thursday, October 29^th head to D.A.R.E.Scream 2009 from 5pm-9pm at the Baskin Robbins on Forest Drive.  Satchel Ford's School Resource Officer (SRO), Deputy Melissa Satterfield, will be there along with several other SROs.  The SRO with the most tickets turned in will receive a special reward.  The flyer with attached ticket may be downloaded here.  Special activities for the kids will be available and a portion of the proceeds from the evening's sales will benefit the SC DARE Learning Center (Drug Abuse Resistance Education).  

This year's Artfest will be held on Friday, November 6th.  This a wonderful event that every student enjoys.  If you can volunteer in any capacity, please contact Pati Derrick.  Volunteers will mostly be needed during the morning hours.

Color Guard Anyone?

Do you have Girl Scout or a Boy Scout who would like to help post the colors for the PTO General Membership meetings?  The General Membership meetings are the third Tuesday of each month and we are always looking for two scouts each month to help us with this important duty.  Please call or e-mail Carla Graf if you are interested (787-2656).

Parents and Teachers: It's never too late to join the PTO!  We have over 190 families that have joined but would like to reach our goal of 100% of the families and teachers are members.  Remember, we will have a special surprise for the class with highest participation.  All the money we raise goes directly to our school.  If you have any questions please contact Helen Russell.  The PTO Membership Form is also available to download.
