Parents and Teachers: It's never too late to join the PTO!  Remember, we will have a special surprise for the class with highest participation.  All the money we raise goes directly to our school.  If you have any questions please contact Helen Russell.  The PTO Membership Form is also available to download.

Can't You Hear the Koi Calling???

Do you love fish?  Wouldn't you like to help the PTO but aren't sure how?  We are looking for an energetic volunteer who would love to take care of the fish tank in the Media Center and our koi pond outside the Media Center.  No experience necessary - on the job training will be provided.  We have been blessed to have Paul Embler serve Satchel Ford for numerous years.  He has spent countless hours taking care of and nurturing the fish tank and garden around the koi pond.  The PTO is now looking for a willing replacement for him and would love your help.  Please call or email Carla Graf (787.2656) if you are interested.

Related Areas Needs You!

The Related Areas classrooms (Visual Art, Music, Dance, PE, Drama, etc.) are in need of hand sanitizer and facial tissue.  If you are able to send these items in, please do so.  Also, Pati Derrick (visual arts) is in need of clean baby food jars to store smaller quantities of paint.  All of these items can be sent to the front office or to your child's homebase teacher.

New Parents - Don't Forget

Each volunteer who will spend time with the kids (classroom activities, chaperoning field trips, etc.) must complete two forms required by the district.  If you haven't completed the forms, please download them from our Volunteers page and submit BOTH of them to the Satchel Ford front  office.  You do not need to submit the $15 fee for the DSS Application.  The district will pay this fee for you.
