Congratulations volunteers from the 2010-2011 school year. You logged over 7188 hours of volunteering for Satchel Ford Elementary. Let’s try to reach 8000 hours this year!!

Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you can give 1 hour a month or 1 hour a day, the PTO needs you. It takes a lot of volunteer hours to support our school. Please consider giving your time when possible. You'd be surprised how many opportunities require minimal or very flexible hours.

To select specific volunteer opportunities, please visit our Student Form/Info page. There you will be able to let us know how you want to help as well as get your student's information into the online directory.

Each volunteer who will spend time with the kids (including chaperoning field trips), must complete two forms required by the district. If you haven't completed the forms, please download them (below) and submit BOTH of them to the Satchel Ford front office. You do not need to submit the $15 fee for the DSS Application. The district will pay this fee for you.

Richland One requires its own forms to be submitted. If you are cleared through SLED, another district or any other way, you still need to submit these forms through Richland One. Once you are cleared as a volunteer through Richland One, you do not need to re-submit the forms each year.

Please submit these forms as early as possible because they get backlogged at the district office quickly. Also, the district funds directed to cover the $15 fee run out quickly which means our PTO will have to pick up the tab.

Our PTO is required to sumbit a total of all volunteer hours to the District at the end of every school year. Please remember to keep track of your Volunteer Time. You may either track & submit it using this website or turn it in to Mandy Coble at the end of the year. Use our Volunteer Timesheet to keep up with your hours and then submit them online.
