5th Annual Valentine Luncheon

The Valentine Luncheon for the faculty and staff will be held on Tuesday, February 14th. This is a fundraiser that is held by the Brave Arts. The luncheon raises money for the Fine Arts Program at Satchel Ford. Artists and residences, conferences, resources for our teachers and updated technology are just a few of the things we have paid for with money raised.

Each family will have the opportunity to buy any faculty or staff member a lunch on this day. Order forms and a more detailed explanation will be sent home on January 27th. Lunches will only be sold for one week (Jan. 30th – Feb 3rd). This is a great way to show the faculty and staff how much they are appreciated!  Thank you for always supporting the Brave Arts!!

Brave Arts Boosters usually meet the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:30 in the Music Room.  Brave Arts Boosters is a group of Satchel Ford staff, parents and community members that believe in supporting our Satchel Ford arts teachers via fundraising and volunteer efforts.  Our activities include planning several fundraisers throughout the year, supporting PTO performances, organizing benefactor donations and scheduling artists for the Brave Arts Academy.  No experience and/or artistic talent is necessary - just a belief in the value of arts education and the willingness to volunteer.  Also, it is never too late in the school year to become a Brave Arts Benefactor by giving a monetary donation that supports our arts programs.  Any amount of donation is welcome.  Please email Katie Free or see download the Brave Arts Benefactor form.  Or come see us at the Brave Arts Boosters table at any PTO Night/grade level performance!!

The Brave Arts Boosters is composed of interested staff, parents and community members. Our goal is to support the Satchel Ford fine arts programs (dance, drama, visual arts, music, and creative writing) and their integration into the regular curriculum. We provide this support through fundraising and volunteer efforts.

Our main fundraisers are: 
Valentine's Teacher Luncheon (February 14,2012) 
Faculty Follies (April 19, 2012) 
Student Performance Cast Photos (once a month at the PTO Meetings) 
Grant-writing 

Money raised from these fundraisers supports the fine arts programs at Satchel Ford. With our fundraiser proceeds, we have sponsored artists-in-residence, purchased a new screen for the cafeteria and new cameras, and have even funded the salary of one of our fine arts teachers.
